AFRA & TOBIA SCARPA - BIOGRAPHY



Afra and Tobia Scarpa, both born in Venice region, were partners in private life and in work and have realized important works in architecture, in design and in furniture restoration, receiving many awards, in particular the Compasso d’Oro in 1963.
Their works are reference masterpieces all over the world apparently minimalists, but rich in tradition and knowledge, transforming a functional detail in a characterized element.
Afra disappeard in 2011 in Trevignano.
