GUJAN GUPTA - BIOGRAPHY


‘When we wrap something, we attach a new set of values’ is the premise for Studio WRAP – a design studio founded by Gunjan Gupta in 2006 in response to the absence of Internationally relevant Indian product design.
WRAP is India’s leading contemporary design brand that’s seeks to revive and invigorate India’s traditional crafts positioning them at the heart of the contemporary home.
Wrap has exhibited its range of sculptural furniture and accessories widely across the world including the critically acclaimed solo show at the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
With an exclusive tie up with world renowned Swiss Architect Davide Macullo, Wrap has expanded its epertoire of services in interior and product design to include architecture thereby offering a one stop solution for luxury space design.
Gunjan is a design entrepreneur with a Masters Degree in Design from Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design in London.
Her philosophy of culturally led design and her initiatives in repositioning the ‘Made in India‘ brand Internationally have won her global recognition that include several awards, notably British Council’s Young Creative Entrepreneur. She has also curated India’s first Design Exhibition for the Experimenta Design Biennale in Lisbon.
Gunjan has been voted one of 5 names to watch out for in luxury by the Fortune Magazine and has been featured in CNN IBN’s Young Turks TV Series.
